This educational methodology course meets the requirements of the PA DOH Bureau of EMS Instructor's Guidelines. The course provides instruction consisting of Thirteen (13) lessons. It includes education, practice, student participation, evaluation, out-of-class assignments, and activities. Various teaching strategies are used in each class: lecture, demonstration, group discussion, audio-visual adjuncts, case studies, and student individual and small group activities.

The primary purpose of emergency services multiple-choice exam preparation and test-taking strategies is to improve student performance on cognitiive exams. A second but related purpose is to reduce exam anxiety. If both of these goals are acheived, higher test scores should result.
